 The government has a new initiative running at present with a new approach to the well being of children and young people from birth to age 19.
The key aim is to ensure all children, despite their background or circumstances, receive the support they need to;

* Be healthy
* Stay safe
* Enjoy and achieve
* Make a positive contribution
* Achieve economic well-being

Some of you who learn with TFT are still classed as children. Some of you who learn with TFT although you are not classed as children will still find some of the messages useful

The green paper initiative sets out a range of proposals designed to improve outcomes for 13-19 year old. Some of you who learn with TFT fall within this age bracket.
Youth Matters is Every Child Matters is the initiative for teenagers. It applies to the services that support young people and its aim is to radically re-shape services for young people by improving their qualifications, getting better jobs and making positive contributions to their local communities.
